A*STARS in partnership with Public Health, is excited to launch a brand new initiative designed to inspire children to get outdoors, get active, and connect with their local environment. We’re delighted to invite all primary schools across the Walsall borough to take part in the Nature Explorer Challenge: 15 Things To Do in Walsall.

 Activity leaflets will be arriving in schools over the next few weeks. Each leaflet includes 15 simple, free outdoor activities, and the aim is for children to tick off each activity as they complete it, building confidence, wellbeing and a stronger connection with nature and their community.

 We’re asking schools to hand out the leaflets as soon as possible. Completed entries should be returned to school by 30th June 2026, after which each school will select one KS1 and one KS2 winner. Winners will receive a goodie bag, and their names will also be entered into a borough‑wide grand prize draw.

This is a fun, low‑cost way to promote outdoor learning, healthy habits and family time - and we’d love all schools to take part.
