🌳 Walsall Pupils Set to Go the Distance for Walk to School Month! 🚶♂️🚲
Schools across Walsall are taking part in our Walk to School Month campaign, running from 1st–24th October!
The initiative encourages pupils and parents to swap the car for active and sustainable travel options like walking, cycling, or scooting to school.
As part of the fun, primary school pupils will take on the ‘Cover Your Tree’ challenge 🌿 — a friendly class competition where each child earns a leaf every day they travel actively. These leaves are added to a class tree trunk, and the goal is to see which class can cover their tree the fastest!
By choosing active travel, families can:
✅ Reduce traffic and pollution
✅ Improve physical and mental health
✅ Save money
✅ Make the school run more fun!
🚗💡 Live too far to walk the whole way? No problem! Families can still join in by parking a few minutes away and walking the rest.
