An action plan is a list of initiatives offered by the A*Stars programme. Schools are required to commit to the core elements and select from a range of healthy lifestyle initiatives to enable them to develop a bespoke programme.
We recognise that school related parking can create pressures on communities but we also understand that there will always be some parents that need to park within a reasonable distance from schools. This is a complex topic and not one that is easily resolved.
We like to celebrate the incredible efforts of schools on their journey toward healthier, more sustainable travel options. Our league table showcases the outstanding accomplishments of schools at three distinguished levels: Bronze, Silver, and Gold. Each year, schools earn their place on this prestigious table based on their achievements and the percentage of pupils embracing active travel.
