2022 Sheriff Training Event

The annual A*STARS Sheriff training event took place on Friday 30 September at Walsall Arena and Arts Centre. 

Walk to School Month

National Walk to school Month was held in October with over 20,000 children taking part across A*STARS Schools.

2021 Walk to School Week

Schools across Walsall will be invited to take part in a nationwide campaign for Walk to School Week which will be held from 17th – 21st May

Let's Walk Together Event at New Invention

Congratulations to New Invention Infant and Junior School on their first Let's Walk Together Event. More than 50 parents/carers joined their children on the walk which began at the Amery Club and ended with a coffee morning at the Infants School.

The Walsall Active Travel Map is now available to download.

NEW! Getting back to school safely toolkit!

The government has recently issued guidance to help parents and pupils keep safe on the journey to and from school. We have therefore developed a toolkit for schools in conjunction with our Public Health department, which outlines the key guidance.

June 10-14 saw schools across the borough invited to take part in our Bike Week campaign to design a poster focusing on why cycling with family and friends is good for you.

Abbey Primary School launch their 5 Minute Walking Zone

Over one hundred children, parents and staff all took part in a Let's Walk Together Event to launch the introduction of a 5 Minute Walking Zone around their school.

New Zebra Crossing at Barcroft Primary School

During October half-term a Zebra Pedestrian Crossing was introduced on Stringes Lane to improve safety on the route to / from Barcroft Primary School.
